Chemistry of Phosphorus Compounds: Options Are Endless

چکیده

One of the research projects is concerned with the four-membered saturated inorganic ring system called cylcodiphosphazanes, which essen ally act as monoor bidentate ligands toward transi on metals. Deriva ves of cyclodiphosphazanes containing oxygen, sulphur, phosphorous or nitrogendonor-func onali es have shown versa le coordina on behaviour, resul ng in simple mononuclear to tri-, tetraor polynuclear complexes and, 1D, 2D and 3Dcoordina on polymers. Copper(I) and gold(I) complexes containing carefully tuned cyclodiphosphazane deriva ves have proved to be poten al an cancer agents showing remarkably high an -prolifera ve ac vity compared to cis-pla n, currently used as a an -tumor drug. Recently we succeeded in making first of its kind, novel metal organic frameworks containing so -metallocene based cyclophosphazanes and so -copper(I) ions with rich photophysical, material and cataly c proper es. At present we are designing many such so -homolep c molecules with sodalite type structures.
